Punjabi Tinda is also known as "Indian baby pumpkin". It is a squash-like cucurbit grown for its immature fruit, a vegetable especially popular in south Asia. The white flesh is tender, moist, and spongy and contains many small, edible, cream-colored to pale yellow seed. Tinda is soft with a mild flavor similar to a cucumber.
